# J Craft Boats

> J Craft Boats AB designs and hand-builds the 42-foot Torpedo, a bespoke luxury motor boat that combines Swedish boatbuilding heritage, mahogany craftsmanship, modern performance, and understated elegance.

J Craft's first boat, the Cabrio Cruiser, was built on Gotland, Sweden, in 1999. The company introduced the 42-foot Torpedo in 2009 and continues to build each boat individually. More than 8,000 hours of skilled work go into a Torpedo, including its hand-finished mahogany deck, bespoke upholstery, polished metal details, and carefully integrated onboard systems.

The Torpedo is designed as a capable day boat, chase boat, tender, and coastal cruiser. Its Volvo Penta IPS propulsion and joystick control provide confident manoeuvring, while the hull combines high-speed performance with seaworthiness. Owners can commission individual hull colours, interior colours, fabrics, stitching, equipment, and other details so that no two boats are identical.

J Craft publishes information about its design, craftsmanship, heritage, service, events, journal, and available boats on this website. The public website is informational: enquiries, brochure requests, sea-trial requests, and boat configurations are reviewed by the J Craft team.
